I am fascinated by nature and the human condition – both real and rendered.  In combining representations of both, through my art, a narrative is suggested and explored.

My art journey has taken me from East Coast to West; from corporate work to teaching children.  I was born in New York City, started a family and a graphic design business in Boston, and raised my family while rediscovering my first love – drawing and illustration – in Marin County.

Having grown up in Manhattan, I was exposed to art from an early age.  As soon as I could make the choice to, I surrounded myself by it.  I attended the Art Students League, the High School of Music and Art, and then Pratt Institute where I earned my degree in fine art.

Currently, I teach drawing to children ages 8-18 from my home studio.  I feel privileged to have known many of my students for over a decade, and to have watched them mature into artists with unique talent and perspectives. I also consult on art portfolios for college admission.

My work with community institutions, including DrawBridge and the Marin Arts Council, inspires my person and my art every day.

I have always defined myself by my art, and believe strongly in its healing and community building power. I continue to attend classes and seminars to broaden my artistic skills and learn new ways of expression.

I hope the visual stories I tell will continue to delight and inspire other dialogues.

I show my work in The ICB winter show,  and by appointment.

Original graphite drawings and giclee prints available, including multi media work.
